The raffle quilt has now been layered up and is ready for quilting -- hoping to start tomorrow but we have workmen in at the moment so not very easy to disappear to my sewing room and get on with it.
Hope everyone is busy with their Linus project - just thought I would give it a mention to help things along well actually it's only because mine is finished and I really wanted to brag!!!!! This is the first time this has happened since Carole started the challenge I am normally the one you can see hiding in the corner finishing the binding before the voting starts!!!
The next post should be of the finished raffle quilt so wish me luck.
This is a blog about Phoenix Patchers (a mixed ability group) who welcome visitors and new members.

Raffle quilt
The top is now complete -- layering up will be done when the weather breaks I can't machine quilt an 80"x 80" quilt in the heat. I have to make the backing , so ( fingers crossed ) the quilt will be ready for September. Thought those of you who check out the page would like a picky.

Sewing together
The raffle blocks have been sewn together and the few with odd seam allowances have been corrected where possible and a stop border in red has been added the wide blue will be added when the weather gets a little cooler -- my sewing room is a bit too hot for comfort!!! Projects are piling up at least in my head.

Raffle quilt
All the blocks are now in and a layout has been agreed after I took them to our meeting last week and any member who wished could have a play which has made life easier for me and lead to a much more interesting layout. Now all I have to do is sew them together, add a border, make a backing, layer up the quilt and then quilt and bind it and we have one raffle quilt!!! Hopefully this will all be completed by next month.

Nearly all the blocks are in and to make a large single bed size I've asked for 4 more which should be with me by the next meeting, then it's time to play with a layout and then hopefully some pics. the top should be finished next month and then I can quilt it over the summer.

Disappearing 4 patch--progress
Recieved the first 12 blocks for the raffle quilt at the meeting yesterday so able to arrange them 3x4 to give every one the idea of things to come. Its going to be fabulous and is so easy so looking foreward to getting more blocks back. Once again Phoenix Patchers are going along with one of my whacky ideas and hopefully enjoying it!!!
